"My experience with State Farm's claims process has been incredibly frustrating. After I was rear-ended in California on July 29, I expected the at-fault driver's insurance to handle my claim fairly. Instead, I've been met with unnecessary resistance.

The adjuster handling my claim, Brett Gaboury, denied coverage for the damage to my front windshield because I didn't have a photo of the windshield taken before the accident. Seriously? Who takes pictures of their windshield before getting into an accident?

While I understand the collision was a rear-end impact, it's entirely possible for the force and vibration of a crash to cause existing stress in a windshield to turn into a crack. Rather than properly investigating or giving the benefit of the doubt, State Farm simply denied the damage.

The result is that I got my vehicle back with a cracked windshield, which I believe is unsafe to drive, all to avoid paying for what amounts to a relatively small repair. It's disappointing to see a company prioritize saving a few dollars over customer safety and fair claims handling.

Based on this experience, I would not recommend State Farm."
